About Critique Meetings
Writers of all genres are invited to attend, at no cost, Mustard Seeds Christian Writers’ Group monthly meetings. We meet at North Church in Fort Worth, at the corner of Westport Parkway and Highway 35W behind Arby’s.
The group’s purpose is to share compositions, then provide or receive feedback so that wah writer can benefit from a test audience. Even better, our members are readers, writers, and editors — so the feedback they provide is usually excellent. In a safe and positive setting, this exercise creates energy that results in
Meetings last approximately two hours. All attendees who plan to read their work should bring 5-8 copies of a 5-page, double-spaced composition. The copies are distributed to other attendees who will listen to the writer read his or her work. Listeners document feedback. The author will collect the notes after his or her reading and critique are complete. People who want to learn more about writing, those who’ve never shared their work, and published authors are welcome to join us! No RSVP required.
Are you shy? Don’t be. Once you dive in and read your work, you’ll understand that we all want to hear it! If you need to just listen for a while, attend a few meetings without reading. We’d love to meet you and learn about your writing projects, goals, and achievements.
Four times a year, we also host three-hour workshops that focus on specific skills for writers. They’re affordable and invaluable!
Stay inspired between meetings by reading our blog posts, or submit one of your own to encourage fellow writers. Be sure to also subscribe to our newsletter and reminders list. Mustard Seeds is a Texas Non-profit and 501(c)3 entity.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
